LATE LIST AS OF 5/17

May 16, 2012
A few "Rodeo Notes" for Clarendon.....

We will be rodeoing at the Clarendon College arena which is on the west side of Clarendon right off Hwy. 287.  Hookups are on a first-come first-serve basis.

Turn in jacket forms BEFORE you leave on Sunday.

Pick up raffle tickets BEFORE you leave on Sunday.

Turn in entries for Hereford BEFORE you leave on Sunday if possible and save yourself a $25 late fee.  :)))   The deadline to enter for Hereford is May 28th so checks for Hereford will not be cashed until May 29th.  This is the day after the deadline.  It really helps me if you turn in your entries in the "Entry Box" at the trailer so I can start putting entries in before the deadline.

If you want stalls for the upcoming rodeos, please reserve ASAP.

If you want RV Hookups for Hereford and Woodward, please reserve ASAP.

Don't forget our barrel race Friday night.....this is a fundraiser that helps us to pay for prizes and saddles!!

Thanks for checking your entries to make sure they are correct.  This helps a bunch!  :)

Call, email, or text if you have any questions or need anything......otherwise I will see you in Clarendon.  Again, if you have a late fee to pay, it would really help if you would come by the trailer and pay it Friday evening if possible.  Once the rodeos start I am busy trying to enter times and post results.

Thanks!

May 14, 2012
The entries for Clarendon are posted on the Results Tab.  Please look these over and see if everything is correct.  If not, let me know as soon as possible.
If you are on the "LATE LIST"  please pay your fees BEFORE the rodeo on Saturday morning if at all possible.  I will be at Clarendon late Friday afternoon.  You MUST get these paid before your child will be allowed to make his/her run(s).  Check here to see if you are on the list.  LATE LIST

May 13, 2012
Happy Mother's Day to all of the wonderful women who take time to haul their kids to rodeos!!  :)  I hope everyone has had a great day!

Remember we have the benefit barrel race this Friday night.  The proceeds from this barrel race will benefit both JRCA & PBRA.  Come on out and help us support both of these great associations!  Here are the details:

Books open at 4:30 and will close at 6:30.  Expos will be held during this time (4:30-6:30).  Barrel race will start promptly at 7:00.
Entry Fee is $40.00 plus a $7.00 office charge.  Expos are $5.00 each.   If you have any additional questions, call Robert Benson at (806) 336-6886.

One other thing.....if you want stalls at the rest of the rodeos, please reserve them ASAP.  They are filling up VERY quickly.

May 9, 2012
A few names were added to the LATE LIST.  Please check on May 8 News to see if your name is on the list.  We really hate to charge the late fees, but we sure do need everyone to get the entries in by the deadline.  Thanks!

May 8, 2012
Please click below to see who still needs to turn in a notarized membership form or a birth certificate.  Also, on this list are the people who will need to pay the $25 late fee as of today.  I will add to this list as necessary.  Remember you can still enter until noon on May 14th, but you will have to pay the late fee.  The late fees will have to be paid BEFORE the Clarendon rodeo or the contestant will not be allowed to run.  They will be turned out.  I will call this our LATE LIST.  Please check to see if your name is on it for anything.

FYI:
Hat fines were waived at Wellington, but will be issued from now on.  Please try to make sure your child's hat stays on.  You will have to pay $10 per hat fine that is assessed by the judges.  These will have to be paid BEFORE the rodeos in the next town.  Some would of had to pay up to $80 in hat fines from Wellington if they had not been waived.

Jacket order forms need to be turned in AT Clarendon.

Raffle ticket sales money has to be turned in by Woodward.

Good Luck Ads for the Finals Program need to be turned in by Woodward.

All of the stalls have been sold for Clarendon.  The stalls for the other rodeos are filling up quickly, so if you need some, you need to get your reservations in ASAP.  Please make a separate check for stalls.

There are just a few RV hookups left for Hereford.  If you want one, please get your reeservation in quickly.  Please make a separate check for this.

Thanks!

May 1, 2012
Everyone please remember the entry deadline for Clarendon is May 7th.  If you do not get entries in on time, you can still enter by NOON on May 14th, but you will have to pay a late fee of $25 this time.  Stalls for Clarendon are filling up fast, so if you need one you need to let me know ASAP.
Don't forget that your jacket forms need to be turned in at Clarendon.  There were still quite a few raffle tickets that were not picked up.  If you didn't get yours at Wellington, you need to get them at Clarendon - these are due at the Woodward rodeo.  Also, if you still haven't turned in a birth certificate, I need you to mail it to me.  As always, if you have any questions email me or give me a call!

April 24, 2012
Wow...did we have a great weekend of rodeoing or what???  The weather was wonderful and it was fun seeing lots of familiar faces plus meet a lot of the new members that we have!  We would like to welcome all of our newcomers and are glad you have joined us!  If you ever need anything just ask...we'd be glad to help you.

There was a change made on Sunday evening regarding Chute Dogging.  Chute Dogging will be moved in the Order of Events for the remainder of the 2012 rodeos.  It will be held now with the rough stock events and will be directly after the 15-19 bulls.

The Results are posted.  Please look over these to make sure everything is correct.  If you see anything that is wrong, give me a call.  There were a few problems with getting points and payouts to pull through to put on the web, but I believe everything is correct now.  Our payout checks are always mailed.  I have them ready and will be sending them out tomorrow.

There were quite a few Hat Fines issued this weekend.  I will be getting these put together and put on here so you will know who needs to pay those before the next rodeo.

Remember, deadline to enter for Clarendon is May 7th.  Late entry deadline is May 14th, plus a $25 late fee, which will be enforced from now on.

April 19, 2012
Rodeo time is almost here!!  Just a few quick reminders...

Rodeos start at 8:00 each day.  On Saturday we end with rough stock and on Sunday with start with rough stock.

EVERY member needs to come by the trailer and pick up their raffle tickets to sell.  This is a membership requirement.

Please turn in entries for Clarendon this weekend if possible.  There will be an Entry Box outside the trailer.  Remember to use ONE FORM PER RODEO (i.e., one for Saturday and one for Sunday) and don't forget to pay the $15 office charge for each day.

The Stall Reservation List will be posted at the trailer and the concession stand.  There have been a few minor changes, so please look to make sure which stalls you have.  Here is an updated list.

The arena is located at the corner of Highway 83 and 1st Street in the north part of town.  You can't miss it if you are driving down 83.

See ya soon!!

I just thought I would let all of the parents of the 3 & Unders know that if your child participates in ALL of the rodeos this summer they will receive a JRCA buckle at the Finals Awards presentation.  I have gotten some entries in that are new members in this age group, so I just wanted to make sure you knew that if you have one of these kiddos.

April 6, 2012
Happy Easter everyone!  It is hard to believe our first rodeo is only 2 weeks away!  Please remember that our deadline for entries is Monday, April 9th.  The memberships and entries have really started rolling in this week.  Things are beginning to shape up for the Wellington rodeo.  Several have called and asked if it is okay to enter for both days on 1 entry form and after starting to process all of the entries I have decided it really is better to fill out a separate form for each day.  That way it helps me to keep the money straight for each day and also I think it would help everyone to remember that there is a $15 office charge PER rodeo.  So.......it's okay if you have used 1 form for this first rodeo, but for the future it would be great if you would use 2.  :)

Again, remember this is our SHOOT-OUT Rodeo, where the All-Around Cowboy & Cowgirl will receive a buckle in each age group.  The buckles will be presented at the Clarendon rodeo.

Also, your raffle tickets will be available to be picked up at the Wellington rodeo, so you can gete an early start on selling those.  I will let you know where you can pick those up before the rodeo gets here.

Stalls for Wellington are still available if you would like to have one.

There are 24 RV hookups available at Hereford and 57 available at Woodward if you would like to have one.  These will be $20 per night.
Here is a form you can use to reserve your hookup.   You can also print one under the Form tab if you would like.

The Board met last night to make preparations and decisions to get us rolling for our rodeo season which is quickly approaching.  We are just a little over 4 weeks away from our first rodeo!  We are lucky to have such a great group of people on the board!  They really work hard to make JRCA a great organization for our kids!

Below are just a few reminders for all of us.

The dress code will remain the same - everyone needs to be sure they comply - check rulebook if you have a question.  Clarification on long sleeve shirts - they MUST have a collar.

Admission fees this year have been set - $2.00 for 12 & Under; $5.00 for everyone else.  (Remember Season Passes are just $40.00 for the ENTIRE summer!)  BEST BUY!  Programs will be $1.00 each day.

There are RV hookup available at all of our locations.  However, they are on a first-come, first-serve basis everywhere except Hereford and Woodward.
At Hereford and Woodward you will be able to reserve a hookup.  They will cost $20.00 per night and you can reserve these with me.  You will need to send in your payment prior to the rodeo to hold your reservation.

There will be 100 stalls available in Wellington - be sure to reserve yours soon - they are starting to fill up.

DON'T FORGET THE DEADLINE TO ENTER FOR WELLINGTON IS APRIL 9TH!  AND REMEMBER.....THIS IS OUR SHOOT-OUT RODEO!

March 13, 2012
I hope everyone is enjoying Spring Break and this beautiful weather (if you are lucky enough to be on break this week)!  The rain God blessed us with this past weekend was wonderful and now all of this glorious sunshine is awesome!  Hopefully it will give us all time to ride our horses and get in some much needed practice time.

I just want to let everyone know that you can get in touch with me if you have any questions, by calling me at (806) 205-0350, hit the "Contact Us" link on our web page or email me at marcy.sessions@gmail.com.

Don't forget to puchase your Season Passes too.  This is the best deal for the summer if you will be attending all of the rodeos.  Passes are $40 for adults.  Admission price at the gate for adults will be at least $5.00.

I've had a few questions about the way our rodeos run off, so I am putting a link to our Order of Events.  This tells what time our rodeos start each day and what order the events are ran.

ORDER OF EVENTS

February 25, 2012

Member packets were mailed yesterday so be looking for those.  If you do not get yours by the middle of next week, please contact me.  The Season Pass Form was inadvertently left out of the packets.  However, you can print one from the "Forms" tab or contact me and I will mail you one.

The 19 and under Chute Dogging will be broken out into two divisions:
     a.  14 and under Boys age group
     b.  15-19 Boys age group
The Chute Dogging rules for both age groups have been changed to match the TJHRA chute dogging rules.  Please see the 2012 JRCA Rule Book for details.

Contestants are only to compete on their drawn stock and/or in their drawn position.
     a.  In case of non-compliance in events that utilize stock, contestant will run at the end of the event and on correct stock.

the end of the current drag.

It is mandatory that a protective vest be worn in all rough stock events.  Helmets are recommended but are optional, except in the mutton busting where they are required to be worn.

JRCA members should always refer to the 2012 JRCA Rule Book for official rules.

Happy Valentine's Day!  Where has the time gone?  It seems like Christmas was only a few days ago.  Speaking of time flying by, before we know it our 2012 rodeo season will begin.  I am very excited to have the opportunity to serve as the JRCA secretary this year and hope you will bear with me as I learn the "ropes".  I will be sending out member packets in the next couple of weeks so be watching for those.  In the meantime if you have any questions, please feel free to call me.
